Artist Bio
Janis has been drawing and painting since she can remember. Born in Victoria, she continues to find inspiration in the familiar surroundings of her childhood. She is a graduate of the Ryerson School of Interior Design. Professional experience includes international projects with a Toronto- based firm and a year in Hong Kong. She enjoys the controlled balance of the pencil and the "go anywhere" aspect of watercolour. Outside of work she enjoys the outdoors and can be found walking Murphy, the Labrador retriever or going for runs that take her through the trails and sea views around Victoria and the island.
